Kids Dance & Movement FAQs
-
What ages do you accept? We offer classes for ages 3-14, grouped into levels so every child can learn at their own pace. Your dancer will be placed where they feel confident, supported, and excited to grow.
-
Does my child need experience? Nope! All of our kid's classes are beginner friendly. We focus on confidence, coordination, musicality, and having FUN while learning movement basics.
-
What should my child wear? Anything comfortable that they can move in - leggings, shorts, fitted tops, or leotards. Feel free to add a warmup layer that they can shed once they are warmed up. Bare Feet, Ballet Slippers, Leather or canvas jazz shoes are all great options. Dance half - soles are also welcome.
-
Can Parents stay & watch? To help kids stay focused and to keep our movement space clear, parents are asked to wait outside the studio during class. We promise your little ones are in great hands, and this helps them build independence & confidence.
-
How does pick up & drop-off work? Please arrive a few minutes early so your dancer can settle in before class begins.
-
Drop-off: A quick, confident hand-off at the door keeps the flow smooth and helps kids transition into class easily.
-
Pick-up: Please return on time and wait outside - we'll release dancers directly to their parent or guardian for safety. If someone else is picking up your child, just let us know ahead of time.
Adult fitness & Pole - FAQs
-
Do I need experience to join a pole or fitness class? Not at all! All of our classes are beginner friendly. We meet you exactly where you are, build your strength safely, and help you feel confident from day one.
-
What should I wear to pole class? Whatever you feel your best in! Shorts, sports bras, tanks, bathing suits. For pole, skin contact is how we grip, so most students wear a warmup layer with shorts and tank top underneath. NO lotions or oils before class.
-
What should I wear to fitness or floorwork classes? Leggings, shorts, or anything you can move and sweat in. Bare feet, socks/grippy socks, or dance shoes are all welcome depending on the class type. Dance kneepads are welcome for muse movement & floorwork classes. NO outdoor shoes/boots on the dance floor.
-
Will I be strong enough? YES. Pole & Aerial strength is built over time. You do NOT need upper-body strength to start - you gain it by showing up consistently.
-
What should i bring to class? a water bottle & an open mind!
-
What's the age requirements for adult classes? Adult classes are 18+. Teens ages 16-17 may attend with parental consent, depending on class type. Muse Movement, Floorwork, and specialty workshops are 18+. No exceptions.
-
Can I wear lotion, body oil, or jewelry to pole? Sorry bestie. Please avoid lotions, oils, glitter, or body products that leave a slip - they make it harder to grip the pole & can affect our equipment. Please also leave rings, necklaces, & bracelets off for pole class as well - they ding the equipment and can be a safety hazard.
-
Do You offer beginner-friendly pole classes? YES! Our beginner spin/static pole classes are the perfect starting point. We focus on foundations, safety, and building strength at your pace. All classes are beginner friendly, unless otherwise listed.
-
How early should I arrive for class? Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can get settled, warm up lightly at your own pace, and be ready when class starts. This helps us start safely & on time.
-
What if I'm running late? Bestie... For your safety, if you miss the warm-up, you may not be able to join the class. Pole and aerial warm-ups are essential to prevent injury - thank you for understanding!
-
Do you offer private lessons? Yes! We love 1 on 1 training. We offer private and semi-private sessions perfect for beginners, skill-building, confidence building, or special-event routines. You can find these under our Book Online page.
